Can Umrah be done in one day

Umrah is a pious journey that is performed by Muslims all over the world. Umrah can be performed throughout the year except those for the Hajj days. Umrah is a pilgrimage that has its own rewards and benefits and is an important pilgrimage in the life of a Muslim. However, Umrah is just an exercise of 2-3 hours and in those hours you can complete your Umrah in an easy and efficient way. In order to perform Umrah there are certain steps that you need to do in order to perform Umrah. There are usually four main steps that you need to perform so as to complete your Umrah.

1. Wear Ihram: Umrah starts with the wearing of the Ihram. Pilgrims have to wear the Ihram on the Miqat. Pilgrims who are coming from Asia need to wear an ihram at the airport as Miqat came in between the flight and it is not possible to wear Ihram on a Plane so on reaching Miqat pilgrims can do Niyat of Ihram and start saying Talbiya till they reach in the House of Allah or till the start of Tawaf.

2. Tawaf: Tawaf is an important aspect of Umrah and it means circulating the Kabba seven times in an anti-clockwise direction. The Tawaf starts from the Hajri Aswad and ends at the Hajri Aswad which means one round get completed once reaching back to Hajri Aswad. It is the most important part of both Hajj and Umrah without which both the pilgrimage would be incomplete. During Tawaf, pilgrims can read any dua or supplication as per sunnah.
3. Saii: Saii refers to walking back and forth between the Safa and Marwa seven times. The first step starts from the Safa but if a person starts from Marwa that step is not considered. Its significance is also mentioned in the Quran as: إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا ۚ وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
Indeed, Safa and Marwa are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs Umrah – there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good – then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.
4. Halaq: Halaq means shaving your head as it signifies the completion of Umrah. It needs to be done by both men and women however, women have to cut hair equal to their fingertips. After this step, you are done with Umrah and now you can pray in your normal dresses.
