Passport Application Status

After filling the passport form you can Track the status of your passport from anywhere for that you need to follow some steps:

• Open the Passport Seva portal
• From the drop-down list on the left-hand side, you need to click on the Track Application Status
• Once you open the Track Application Status you need to fill in the details such as

Select Application Type:
File Number:
Date of Birth:
The File Number is mentioned on the Acknowledgement Receipt. You are provided with the acknowledgment letter at the PSK after the verification on which your details with the file number are mentioned. You are advised to take care of your Acknowledgment Letter until you Receive your passport. For your assistance I have provided an Image below and had Encircled the file number, the same will be on your acknowledgement letter.



• After clicking on the Track Application Status you will be provided with a Status Tracker onto which the detail mentioned below will be provided:
File Number:
Date of Birth:
Given Name:
Surname:
Type of Application:
Application Received on Date:
Status:
On Status, you can check where your passport has reached. Once your passport will get Dispatched you will get a notification Through SMS or Email and within days it will be delivered to through concerned Post Office. It is requested to check your passport carefully once you receive it because if any correction is to be made it can be done easily otherwise you have to repeat the whole process again.
