How far is Muzdalifah from Mina

Muzdalifah is a place that lies between Arafat and Mina and holds great significance in Islam. Muzdalifah is an area that is needed to be visited during the Hajj journey. Hajj is a journey of faith and needs to be performed by a person who has resources to perform it as it is a wajib act in Islam. Hajj is a journey of 5 to 6 days and in those days you have to perform all the rituals of Hajj and need to stay in the boundary so that your Hajj becomes valid.
While being on a Hajj Journey we need to go to Mina, Muzdalifah, Arafat, Jamarat and so on to complete our Hajj rituals. However, on the second day of Hajj i.e. on 9th of Dul Hijjah we have to move to Muzdalifah to perform one of the rituals of Hajj. On 9th of Dul Hijjah we have to go to Muzdalifah after sunset and need to spend the whole night in Muzdalifah and at night we need to collect the stones/pebbles that we have to throw at Jamarat. When Prophet P.B.U.H performed Hajj, on reaching Muzdalifah, He S.A.W performed Magrib and Isha prayer together at Isha time and stayed at a place where in present scenario Masjid Mash’arul Haram is. But Prophet P.B.U.H has said I am staying here but you can stay anywhere in Muzdalifah. So whoever visits Muzdalifah needs to perform the rituals in the same manner as taught by Prophet S.A.W.
While being in Muzdalifah wakoof is wajib i.e. staying in Muzdalifah is mandatory even for a small portion of time but it lasts till sunrise. However, you can pray as well as take rest while being in Muzdalifah. But one of the most important things that you need to do in Muzdalifah is collecting stones. A person needs to collect 49 or 70 stones depending on their stay in Mina as Hajj is for 5 or 6 days. On 10th of Dul Hijjah you have to throw 07 stones on one of the Devil in Jamarat and on 11th and 12th of Dul Hijjah you have to throw stone on all three devils in Jamarat. 13th Dul Hijjah is exceptional i.e. if you want to stay in Mina you can otherwise you can leave on the 5th day of Hajj i.e. 12th of Dul Hijjah. But if you stay in Mina for the 6th day then you have to do Ramy Jamarat i.e. you have to throw stones on all three devils and after that you can leave towards Makah.
After collecting stones in Muzdalifah you have to go to Mina and the distance of Mina from Muzdalifah is almost 3.8 km to 4 km. You can go to Mina either by bus, train, subways or by foot as well. However, if you opt to go by foot you need to remain calm and patient and need to leave the Muzdalifah earlier in order to avoid congestion. Moreover, it is sunnah to leave Muzdalifah prior to sunrise.
