Fasting During Hajj
Hajj is the Fifth Pillar of Islam and is the Religious Duty that is meant to be carried by each and every Muslim who is capable of doing so. Hajj becomes Wajib for a person who is Financially Able and Physically Fit. However, while performing Hajj we should Always Follow the path that was followed by our Prophet (P.B.U.H). Unlike Ramadan, fasting during Hajj is Optional however fasting on the Nine Days of Zil Hajj is Sunnah.
If you want to Fast During Hajj you can as fasting during Hajj has Great Rewards as well. Fasting during Hajj starts from the First Day of Zil Hajj up to the Ninth day of Zil Hajj. And a Pilgrim who observes fasting during Hajj his Sins Of Two Years is forgiven i.e. the sins of the year he observes fast and the year before it.
Fasting in the nine days of Zil Hajj is Recommended and this is indicated by the words of the Prophet (S.A.W) narrated in the Hadees of Ibn Abbas: ``There are no days on which Righteous Deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days of Zil Hajj. They said O Messenger of Allah, Not Even Jihad for the sake of Allah? He (S.A.W) said: `` Not even jihad for the sake of Allah unless a man goes out himself with his wealth and does not come back with anything i.e. got martyred``.
